This card (upright) can symbolise control, will power, victory, assertion and determination it can also (reversed) symbolise lack of control/direction and aggression. The number 7 may represent the seventh tarot card, the Chariot. It may be noted that last time Kaneki fought Arima (Tokyo Ghoul ch137) a 7 also appeared. However, what can’t be ignored is what appears to be a (slightly broken) 7 on this particular page. I’m not usually the type of person who hunts for tarot card numbers within the manga, because I find that a lot of the time fans are circling whatever they can find in a panel and trying their hardest to justify that it’s a number. Firstly, any numbers found hidden in the image, and secondly, the use of the snake scale pattern. There are two significant things I’d like to address when it comes to this end page.

I’llīe unpacking the names of some characters that have recently been in chapters Also, I’ve been particularly busy lately, so this is a quick thing I canĭo to make you all happy (it’s a little shorter this time around though). With a second batch of uncovered hidden meanings in Tokyo Ghoul character’s Seeing as many people seemed to like PT.1, I have returned If anyone has any thoughts on it, let me know! What is next for Tooru? He/She doesn’t really have anywhere to go if this more neurotic personality holds up. My main concern is how Tooru’s new personality will develop and grow. Is it possible that this is also the case for Kaneki? Death by “overwork” does sound awfully suspicious! Many pointed out the similarities between Tooru and Suzuya in the earlier stages of his/her torture.īut it’s pretty obvious that the parallel was strictly between Kaneki and Tooru, as can be observed by the similar stories of abuse, lightening of the hair, revenge on their torturers and the physiological and psychological transformation both characters underwent.Īlso, this whole parallel raises the question, did Kaneki kill his mother? We now know that Tooru and Kaneki are parallel characters, and Tooru killed his/her abusive family members. This being said, it’s entirely possible that Tooru may be suffering DID, ©PTSD, or both. However, the prolonged trauma in Tooru’s life would typically suggest complex PTSD, which may cause sufferers to dissociate. Personally, as many other people have said, Tooru most likely has dissociative identity disorder. So if you’re seeing this and just happened to remember following me, thank you, and bye. I’m honestly surprised that this blog is still being interacted with even now. Thank you to everyone who reblogged, liked, and followed, this blog meant the world to me when I was younger and those interactions always made me smile. Sorry to all who’s asks I left unanswered, or messages I left unread, although I’m sure you don’t mind now. But I don’t really want to, I think I’m done writing. I guess I could keep writing about it, there’s a lot of themes to unpack even after the story is over. It was such a fantastic story and I’ll always love it. The ending was beautiful but, I can’t help but feel sad that it’s over.
#TOKYO GHOUL OPENING 2 FULL HOW TO#
Back then I was 15 and only just learned how to write essays, now I’m starting my third year of university and write them all the time.Īlthough Tokyo Ghoul :re ended last year, I didn’t touch it for years, and only in the past couple of days did I decide to finish it. I read every chapter that came out, felt tense at every cliffhanger, and never wanted it to end.
